Coretemp keeps crashing ?

Hey well im running a very mild oc, I have coretemp .97 & .97.1 and both crash after about 10 seconds with orthos or prime95. I just get a message that coretemp has crashed. I'm running windows xp media. I haven't tried it on Vista cause i'm too lazy to install. How good is speedfan compared to coretemp? cause i see coretemp is what everyone seems to be using.

I believe Coretemp is the best option, and it crashing like that, definitely a problem with your software and/or driver.....CT crashing, that's rare......

yeah I ran into that problem before... it's goofy that it does that sometimes, it gets corrupt somehow, just delete and re-download it and it should work fine... I run off USB drive with logging enabled so i can xfer results to main system and I've never come across the problem when running from USB drive

I know for a fact Coretemp is crashy on vista, but you just said you aren't using vista so i have no idea.
