core2duo processor clock speed?

I mean I know they are fairly new but they are expensive. What is so good about them with their clock speed being so much lower than my 3.0E processor? Something im missing? How would you compare it to say the 960 presler?
 
This is twice the performance with halfed the clocks , its amazing and going to shape things to come.

This processor is going in the books.
 
Simply amazing , sorry i kept it in for too long, great cpu which will change the way new cpu are made, that alone is good for things to come cos you know it will now have to live up to high expectations and perform at least par with core 2 duo.

Good times ahead.
