Hello. It goes very well for video editing with Premiere, DaVinci Resolve, and for making 3D animations, for effects it is very fast. I have seen in the news that there is the new Core i9 12900ks and that soon you will have the Core i9 13900K. Is it better for work? It's worth it? Compared to Core i9 10980Xe. Thanks. All the best.

If you're planning to go HEDT, I would strongly recommend waiting for a completely new, yet-to-be-released CPU based on the Alder Lake or Raptor Lake architecture. The current i9-10980XE is already almost three years old at this point, and its architecture is just a minor refresh of an architecture that dates all the way back to the Skylake days of 2015. As such, it is now no longer competitive in performance for the total cost of the CPU and X299 platform that it uses.
