Core temp/speedfan/tat software issues

I'm almost too embarassed to even be asking this, but I have to. Maybe because I've read soo many forums about each with everyone's 2 cents about it I've confused myself...

For CPU monitoring software I've currently downloaded Core Temp, SpeedFan, and TAT. Yesterday before my first go at overclocking I thought I'd get a baseline for what I was starting with before I made any adjustments. Using TAT and Orthos to stress test (at separate times) I monitored my temps. They looked fine (in my opinion, see below). My question is the so called 15 C adjustment that is supposed to be adjusted in Speedfan. I am confused because while I was doing this test I had the same temperatures for each of the monitoring softwares. I thought Speedfan was supposed to need an adjustment for correct monitoring. I did no such adjustment to speedfan, and all three software monitoring programs are the same. Do I trust all 3 or am I way off?

TAT software - Idle: TAT - 31-32C
Core Temp - 31-32C
SpeedFan - 31-32C

Load: TAT - 47C
Core Temp - 47C
Speedfan - 47C

Orthos software - Idle: ~same as above
- Load: ~same as above

System (nothing overclocked yet):
Mobo: EVGA 680i LT
CPU: Intel E6600 @ 2.4 GHz
GPU: EVGA 8800GTS 640 Mb
PSU: OCZ 700W
RAM: 2x 1 GB Patriot 6400 @ 5-5-5-15
HD: Seagate Barracuda 320 GB

The +15C issue only applies to quadcore/G0 users. There's no reason to doubt the readings you're getting.

Where can I get this "TAT and Orthos" ?

I have Coretemp and Everest

www.google.com

Intel Thermal Analysis Tool
Orthos SP2004 (dual core stress testing)

PS: Neither of those will work with a Quad. Stick with Coretemp or speedfan (with 15C adjustment in advanced tab) and the latest version of prime95.
