I just got my new system together (in sig) and putting it through its paces and overclocking it.
When I put my heatsink on I put a thin layer of AS5 across the entire cpu and placed the heatsink on it. I twisted the heatsink a few times and it became hard to turn. You think theres enough thermal paste on it? Im getting some pretty big differences in the core temps. There is a 7*c difference between the hottest and coldest core.
It seems to overclock fine though. Was prime 95 stable for 5 hours @ 3ghz 1.285v, and currently running 3.15ghz (350x9) @ 1.285vs for 30 minutes no errors in prime
My core temps right now are
54
50
47
47
do you think I should reapply the AS5? or is that normal?
