Have anyone seen any data or benchmarks to suggest core i5 will get the same ppd as core i7?

I Am Hoping That The Performance Will Be At The Same Level. Will Make For High Pdd Systems At A Great Price. Also The Tdp On The Core i5 Is 80 vs 130 On The Core i7

That is mainly dependent on the clock speed. The i5 will have certain features removed from it, although it will also have certain things added, like an onboard PCI-E controller. Overall, the architecture is no more power-efficient than the i7 (although the entire system might end up using a bit less power due to the lack of a dedicated northbridge).Also The Tdp On The Core i5 Is 80 vs 130 On The Core i7

My new farm will be 95% all CPU based .... so PCI-E slots are not an issue ...
Hint --> SMP2 .....
The reason I only semi agree is , knowing Standford and Doc Vjay's forward thinking, I wouldn't be surprised if they released a SMP2 client and a GPU3 client into the wild. Hell didn't they already introduce the GPU2 client to replace the GPU1 client (and upset a lot of peeps
) so why not a GPU3 client

BTW, are you under NDA? How far out are we talking?
