Does anybody know if the Sunbeam Core Contact Freezer will work with Phenom II processors and AM2+ boards ? I know it will work with AM2 boards but I just want to be sure.

Core Contact Freezer Question

yeah they use the same mounting on all 939 am2 and am2+ so it will work.. one of the great things about amd.. they dont change something that already works..

That was my main reason for selling my Q6600 is that I missed the old fan design. I hate the new push pin thing Intel has going.
i know.. why would intel do that!!! please kyle, ask intel!!!!!!!

I had just bought a brand new HSF for my Q6600 when I bent the plastic tip of one of the corners just enough for it not to fit in the hole. I went the very next day and bought the X2 6400+ I am using right now. With Intel you also have to factor in whether you will have to remove the motherboard to install your aftermarket fan which is never a concern for AMD fans.
