I'm stumped on an issue here. I had a PC, second in my sig, running Vista x64 Enterprise on a Pentium D 915. I popped that proc out and swapped in the E6420. My BIOS recognizes it correctly, and shows the FSB as being 1066 Mhz. If I boot to BartPE, it shows the processor correctly. However, in Vista, the FSB is showing as only 800 Mhz, making this a 1.6 GHz chip. I tried running under a load, disabling SpeedStep, and nothing seems to work. I'm going to swap out the hard drive and reinstall Vista as a test eventually, but I was hoping this could be something to change in Vista. Vista's power profile is set to high performance, and the processor to 100% min and max. Any ideas?
