Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been posted somewhere else, but I am buying a full loop.

Here is what I am going for:

From what I gathered, I will be running brass\copper\nickel\silver - I know I should stay away from Aluminum, which I have.

Do I need to be running any special coolant that prevents corrosion? I am running UV tubing so clear coolant would be best. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Fittings -

http://www.performance-pcs.com/alph...evolvable-g1-4-deep-black.html#Specifications - brass chromatized

http://www.performance-pcs.com/fitt...ing-g-1-4-thread-id3-8-od5-8-matte-black.html - doesnt say ( but the other matching enzotech's below are matt plated brass so I am assuming it's the same

http://www.performance-pcs.com/enzo...for-3-8-id-and-5-8-od-tubing-matte-black.html - matte plated brass

Rads -

http://www.amazon.com/Alphacool-NexXxoS-Copper-240mm-Radiator/dp/B007P05XL4 - full copper

cpu block

http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-supremacy-evo-cpu-water-block-copper-acetal.html - copper

gpu block -

http://www.performance-pcs.com/ek-fc980-gtx-wf3-acetal-nickel.html - nickel plated copper

res -

http://www.performance-pcs.com/new-monsoon-series-two-d5-premium-dual-5-25-reservoir-red.html - this has silver biocide plugs

pump -

Thanks in advance!!!

ionized + distilled water with Zinc phosphate or Benzotriazole.. Benzotriazole may be the best option as it prevent any extra electrical formation in the interchange of materials.. go to a chemical store and ask for dielectric anti-corrosive water/coolant or corrosion inhibited water they will know what to do.. this also help with aluminum + copper which can be extremely abrasive electrically speaking.. most AIO manufacturers tend to use a specific combination of what mentioned as most AIO use Copper + Aluminum..

You don't see a major issue with those combos though?

I actually found the same cpu block in copper, which i will get, but there is only 1 g1 gaming 980 water block i see from ek, and it's nickel =/

I also have another question. I would like to clean my rads out. They say they are complete copper (I am sure there is some brass in there). Without spending $40 on the mayhem kit, what is the preferred way to clean them?

I have hear use muriatic acid, don't use it, use is vinegar, don't use it, also if i do use acid, what do i use to neutrilize it when I am done?

Any info on substance \ time to soak \ neutrilizers, from people who have actually done it, with success would be much appreciated. I just don't want to jack stuff up.

Thanks!

I have been running a combination of copper, nickel, brass, and silver, and have had no problems in over 4 years.

Alphacool radiators are indeed fully constructed out of copper. They have no brass.

Nice. Any idea what to clean them with that doesn't cost 40$ keep getting mixed info

If you're assembling a custom loop, you should to have enough money to buy fluids and matching components. Going cheap is asking for trouble.

I flushed my radiators with hot water. Boiled the water then let cool to somewhere between 50-60C. I had attached some spare tubing lengths to two open ports. Partially filled the radiator, shook it, flushed, repeated several times while also occasionally just letting the water run through in a continuous stream.

My Alphacool NeXxXos Monsta rads (the 80mm thick type) do have a small amount of brass in the form of brass threads at the G1/4 ports. It's admitted to on the alphacool website. Otherwise, all the important radiator bits are copper.

Most of my gear is Swiftech or Alphacool. The res is from EK and the tubing was generic 70 cents a foot stuff that I bought from Sidewinder? I think. Only thing I had a problem with was the EK res.

ended up getting everything i need, but i sold my 980 (i cant justify buying a 160$ waterblock and back plate for it, gonna hold out for 980ti hydro copper)

thanks for all your help guys!
