OK, it seems rather simple.
Keep the MCT-5 flowing, and the M1A's spinning for a minute or two after the computer powers down, to keep the GPU and CPU cool...
Have any of you done any temperature readings of an idling CPU or GPU immediately after power-down? how hot does it get, before it starts to actually cool? does it even get hotter, or does it immediately start to cool down? I guess those fundamental questons should be answered before I start figuring electronics?

In theory, at least in my mind, the answer is that it does get hotter, for little while, and then starts to cool (the lingering heat in the chip, from the moment that MCT-5 stops flowing, doesnt disipate very well without the MCT-5 flowing... so it gets hotter) right?

would like to help my parts last a little longer, i guess, if i can spend $30 on some kind of relay to keep them cool post-powerdown.
