So I recently built up my i7 build (love it, very happy I went with it), and I was thinking about cooling options for the HAF 932. I think I did something a little different, but I'm wondering what anybody else's take on it is.
The CPU in the HAF 932 sits VERY far toward the back of the case. So what I did was have the rear 140mm fan as an intake, and had the N520 pull air from the rear fan and exhaust toward the front. I then installed a 120mm fan (planning on getting another) toward the rear of the 5.25 trays pulling the hot air from the N520 out the front of the case. Since heat rises, the front 230mm fan is pulling cool air in on the hard drives, I installed a 120mm fan on the bottom that pulls air up to the graphics card, and the side 230mm fan is still pulling air in. I'm also planning on adding a 120mm beside the 230mm on top for a little extra exhaust to balance things out.
What does everyone think of this? Stupid? Maybe, I don't know. With the N520, my i7 is at 3.5ghz 166.59x21 @ 1.152 volts, idles around 39-41, and full load is around 56-59. I tried an overclock to 4.1ghz, but the heat was pumping up around 76, and I don't like running it that hard. Maybe once I start doing the video re-encoding I will push it up to see the benefits, but not yet.
How are these temps with the HAF 932 setup? Should I switch it back to stock? Do something different? Just looking for suggestions to improve the air cooling.
