Hate to bug everyone buy doing another "help me my system is blah blah blah" thread, but I need to do it neway.

The only bottleneck in my system left is a barton 2500 (still a damn good chip though).

I figure, well lets just OC the damn thing and take care of that easily enough. Here is the issue:

39c is my idle temp stock. Good? Bad? Just ok?

Running it stock on a slk-800 with a TT smartfan 2. Case is a lianli 65, ambient temp is 27c.

Do I have enough room to push it? If so how far? Do the FSB? Ram is 1gig 3200 running dual channel on an nf7-s.

If that idle is too high for a idle temp with this rig, what the hell am I doing wrong? No matter how many times I re-seat it, different compounds abound... stays locked around this core temp.

Thanks for the help guys.

hmmm, just oced to 2.2, 200x11... running at 40-41c idle

ambient is 28c

dunno about gaming yet, this ok for idle?

Temps are great, don't worry about it. I've never had temps that low on a single overclocked computer that I own. You're fine.

Let her rip! Those temps are fine man, go go go! c1 to that OC!

Those temps sounds just perky! Balls to the wall, man! Stop when you smell something burning (highly unlikely, though.:D

gunna pump it up a bit more

running 39-40c at idle now, 44-45c at full load playing farcry for hours and hours at high to max detail

what should my next step be on the OC?
