cooling for v1000 II plus

all the most popular heatsinks work in this case you are good to go on that front.

I have a V1200, which is very similar to the V1000. Anyway, you need to be careful with coolers in this case due to the bottom power supply partition. Most large coolers should fit in this case, but you may not be able to direct the fan to blow out the rear exhaust (if using big tower coolers). It depends on your motherboard, and how close the CPU socket is to the bottom edge of the motherboard near the power supply partition. As long as the cooler doesn't overhang the motherboard edge, it shouldn't interfere with the partition and fit in the case fine.

I think the Ultra-X cooler that you picked out should work fine for most motherboards, since fan direction isn't as important as a cooler like a Tuniq Tower or Ultra-120.
