What would be the best HSF to cool an e6420 in a QPACK, obviously it has to fit. I was looking at this...any suggestions? Im looking for something cheap and that does not require a mod to the case.
 
will that fit? i had an xp90 in mine, but i had to saw off part of the strut, and even then i had to mount the fan after the motherboard was pushed in. you can get a zalman 7000 or 7500 for between $25 and $35. they will definitely fit. but if the ac fits, go for it. there is a thread in the sff forum here called something like "will it fit?", which should give you some ideas. the x-qpack/micro-fly/jpac were the sff cases of choice here for a couple years.

Thanks, ill have to take a look and compare sizes. Would the zalman coolers good be a good compromise?
 
they are ok, but a little pricey. as long as you are not going to do extreme overclocking they are more than enough.
