Coolest Mac Mod….Ever

A sticker is a mod? Someone's been hanging out with too many teenagers that drive hondas.

Technically a mod would be defined as any alteration. So although non-functional, yes, a sticker would be a mod.
I think what you're getting at is the people that actually believe said sticker makes a change that isn't only aesthetic.

I wonder how long before he gets sued by Apple for trademark infringement.

... you said Mac and Cool in the same sentance ... that lost it for me ...

I find it ironic that he has a blurb on his site indicating that you should make sure that your order is shipping from the USA. Apparently some people in China are "stealing his art." Funny, I would have thought that since pretty much every one of his stickers is a rip-off of some other famous work that he wouldn't have any problems with people returning the favor. ;)

When I saw this, the first thing I thought of was a hammer. Can't seem to remember why???

I actually make these things at where i work (vinyl decals, not the iron man), generally i charge $25+ for custom ones and $20 for premade ones.

I've only put them on one MAC but lots of PCs, the hello kitty logo is popular with the female customers.

If you are a Mac owner it is a mod...and an EXTREME mod at that! :D

Doubt my words? Think about this: How many other Mac mods have you seen (done by the average Mac owner)? That's why that laser etching on the Mac Book Pros a while back got coverage too. We gotta take what we get when it comes to Mac mods.....

....LOOK! Someone left a price tag on their Mac....*new Mac craze started.

;)

REALLY stretching for content here, huh Steve? Trying to get those clicks up, apparently...I can't stand how the link in the forums redirects to THE SAME THING @ hardocp, and I have to click yet another link to get to the actual item being referred to.

If only ironman was as good of engineer than the people who designed the unibody macbook.

The best Mac mod ever is when I threw mine off a 3rd-story balcony and then watched the neighbor's Yukon drive over it an hour and a half later because they didn't want to honor my warranty. I had swapped another Macbook HDD into mine because mine would not boot to help determine whether it was my drive or the logic board. I didn't even get the pleasure of smoking around it like most people that don't get their warranties honored do.

Never buying a Mac again, no matter how awesome (expensive and useless) the sticker is.

4.5 years and you finally got it out of your system. How does it feel?

Alright, alright....you got me...I was whoring for hits by sucking up to the Mac faithful, they are everywhere on these forums. Damn, you saw right through me. :D

Since you "CAN"T STAND" the way we link things, maybe you have an idea how we can ensure that hundreds of thousands of forum links are still good after 3 years, 5 years, even 10 years? After the website and associated content (images, video, etc.) are gone? After the URL is moved? How about when the site we link crashes, or is "unavailable" due to server load? What about when controversial content or photos were yanked?

Oh no! How do we get our content?!?!

Well....thankfully we posted a link AND a quote AND a picture, photos, screenshots and / or video. Now most people can still enjoy the content instead of getting a big fat 404 ERROR

This is just one of the many reasons we do what we do here, I have many others if you'd like to hear them. Anyway, I'd rather have an "extra click" and still find the news content than to have a direct link to nothing and have to search the front page for the associated news post.

(or we are just whoring for hits....;))

Oh come on now, we all know that a sticker adds at LEAST 10~15 HP to a car it is put on, so for a computer that has to average to around what, 2~5 GHz? DUH!

Needs something....

Ahhh.... Much better!:D

Thanks Steve, makes sense.

Since you're in an answering mood, I wouldn't hurt if you mentioned why we don't have an edit feature here :)

Anyways, thanks for your continuous postings of news links! Much more interesting than google news.
