Ok I got a new psu week before christmas as old one die.

cooolermaster 600watt silent modular pro.

As I understand it traditionally arent considered good psu's but this line they did was considered better than usual and good for the price so I got one.

However now woken up today about 2-3 weeks after putting it in it sounds like a little 10cc engine is running in my pc. But I got 2 noise's I think, one is coming from the psu which I hope is the fan not a failing critical part. The other I guess is from a case fan as its at front end of case but hard to pinpoint height.

Seems a coincidence a case fan going bad not long after I replace the psu which makes me wonder if caused by power fluctuation from psu.

kind of ironic a psu with silent in the name takes my pc from near silent to a mini engine.

was front fan, the plastic attachment which holds onto case was loose and that was probably causing a rattle, since its winter and hard to get into space to fix I have just removed fan for now and incase fan itself failing I will put brand new one in at some point as have spare new ones lying around.
