Hey guys i am planning to upgrade from my generic annoying case.

Anywho, I am very interested in this case, I love to have some opinions reguarding this case.

Is there anything I should be concern of about this case. I have read a few reviews concerning this case and it has been all good. So what do you guys think.

Better cases for the money? Name one. I have the original Centurion 5, and I get amazing airflow and temps. The 532 is even better, since it has a 120mm front fan as opposed to the 80mm front fan on the Centurion 5. The case is easy to work in, is tool-less so setup is extremely fast, and looks really good. The only problems are that the case is a bit cramped and wire management is difficult, and the case is made out of steel so it's pretty heavy. Aside from that, there really aren't any flaws.
 
Well another great choice is a Lian Li PC7+, or maybe a Antec Solo.
 
Those are good cases, but IMO the Centurion is easier to work with and has a better design in terms of cooling.
 
Centurion is nice but-

The DVD drive opening flaps are sometimes prone to breaking

Steel chasis

Only comes with 1x120mm fan

Side panel has grills dented in (Ugly IMO).

Antec Solo looks much nicer and provides better cooling options and is better for a silent PC.

The Lian Li PC7+ is all aluminium and comes with 2x120mm.

Um... The Centurion doesn't have stealthed drive bays. There are no flaps to break.

So buy some more fans. They're not that expensive anyways, and the ones that come included in cases generally aren't very good(with the exception of Antec).

To each his own. I can say from personal experience that it cools down my video card better.

The Centurion has more cooling options, since you can add another 120mm fan if you have 3 unused drive bays and there's place for an 80mm fan on the side panel. As for the looks, that's a matter of preference. It is quieter, but a Centurion decked out with silent 120mm fans would be almost as quiet and would have better cooling.

True, but it's also an older design and personally I think it looks a bit dated.

You do have some good points, but I prefer the Centurion. I guess it's up to the OP to decide for himself.

Sorry guys a little update on my situation, the store that I was planning to get the case from has no stock left, well its down to the Cenutrion 5 or the Antec SLK1650B :eek: .

I was looking forward to the 532 because of the removable mobo tray and all the usb port and stuff was on top.
 
I've got the same case as the one linked.

Lots of research may find a motherboard that lines up the CPU with the side intake, but I found it easier to just put an 80mm fan in there. It's not really necessary, the 120 in the front and one in the back cool it well enough.

The toolless design is nice to work with installing parts. If you don't trust that, there are holes for screws (supply your own).

The power and reset buttons, USB ports and headphone connector being on top is good if your case sits towards the floor, but not so good if it sits up high. Of coourse, as heavy as this case is, I don't see being able to put one too high up.

I haven't really tried doing any wire management yet, so I can't really comment on that aspect. I'm sure a removable motherboard tray would have been helpful, but being able to remove both side panels has to help a little bit.

Overall, it's not a bad case design, but it is very heavy.
 
I like my Aerocool Masstige... It's only a bit more expensive, but is the best case I've ever owned (and trust me, I've owned ALOT of cases).

Full open bays, BTX style (great for aircooling), SILENT side intakes (awesome for RAM overclocking too) and costs < 100$...

It was obvious for me. Not to mention you can mount a water cooling radiator in the front, no modding required ;).
 
Thanks for that suggestion, check some review on that case, very nice indeed, love how it has the BTX design look to it, but the problem is that we can't get it here in Australia, i have run a check on that product and come up with no response.
 
I have a Centurion 5.
Nice little case. Kind of cramped and wire mgmt can be a challenge ( I Like challenges :))
Great temps, great airflow, despite the small space. If you have a Large cooler, forget about the "Duct" I Have a Scythe Ninja and it barely fits without the duct instlled. Of course it directs the heat straight to the rear 120MM fan and out, Perfect.
HDD's in the lower bays can get awful close to longer Video cards. I have a 7950GX2 and I Wouldnt put HDD"s in the lower bays, would have to kink the cables.
It's a good case but it's kind of small.
 
Not bad at all. I Have a120MM in the front, On the Ninja and in the back.
I think the things I hear the most are the Vid card fans and the DVD-RW Spinning up.
 
I've got a 120mm and 80mm in the front, a 120mm exhaust, and a 120mm CPU fan, along with various others(chipset, GPU, PSU). My PC does make noise, but it's a very low whooshing noise that's very unobtrusive. My fans are also quite loud, so that contributes somewhat to my noise levels. With the stock fans in the front and back the case would be much quieter.
 
I need to chose between the Centurion and the P180 by the end of today...is the P180 worth the extra dollars. Both cases have received great reviews from what I have read.

This will be my system:

Opteron 165
Quadro FX 1400
2x400gb Seagate Sata2's
BenQ DVD-ROM
NEC 3550A
2x1GB DDR400 Corsair Platinum
Enermax Libery 535w PSU

My guess is that the P180 has more room and thus better cooling.
 
Hmm I am currently running the Stock HSF on my Intel P4 640 and it does get pretty loud in my currenty case, would I expect the same noise level? If so I would probably pick up the Zalman 9500 while getting my new case.
 
You probably wouldn't notice much difference in noise level. You really should pick up a better HSF, the stock one is pretty bad.
 
The 9500 isn't a particularly large heatsink. It should fit without any issues.
 
I have a 250g samsung with cooldrive lite, with an older enlight case. The issues I am having is that my seems to echo like crazy throught the case (I assume it is the case becuse I haven't tried it sitting outside of it...) The cooldrive like does a little bit to override the noise, but that is only because it has fan on it (fan off = same noisey drive as w/o the enclosure)

If I get the centurion 532 case, will this shut it up? I plan on buying a second fan for exhaust since it only comes with an intake fan...
 
It wouldn't make it completely silent, but it will be much quieter than in a cheap case.
