I eneded up getting the R 120 cooler master and need to knwo what to do to install. Will this require a removal of mainboard and cpu hsf? Also can I extend this and add stuff to cool the chipset and the video card? I got the r120 cause i went to buy a 120mm fan and found the local store had it for 100 bucks retail plus i bought a 120mm fan too and it all cam eout with tax to 123. Did I do good? :D Anyways where do i find an install step by step tuturiol on this baby and where the hell do I add the coolant? Is it already inside?

You will need to remove the mobo (not sure if that applies to all sockets though) You will also need to remove the Heatsink/Fan on the processor. Remember to clean the processor and apply some fresh thermal paste. The pump is located on the water block and the unit comes prefilled with coolant. Mount the radiator to the 120mm fan mount in your case. Thats about it in a nutshell. Here is a link to the installation pdf, in case you need it. LINK

please feel free to ask me any questions, i used to have a cooler master aquagate and liked it very much.

BTW:: if you go the aquagate's product page, they have an installation movie LINK

ok before i start, I have 8 wasgers. 4 with a small hole and 4 with a big hole. The one with the big hole are also sticky. These washer (black rubber things), where do they go? 4 on one side and 4 on the other correct? However which ones go on which side? Im going to start this very soon and would only need an answer for this. I figured the rest out so far

newegg was selling it for 49.99 but they've sold out now.. so was a bit overpriced lol... its not bad for what it is though:)

hey, got it installed fully. One problem though, the temps are without OC at idle its 47c and at load its 62c. When I first booted the comp though after installing the R120, the system monitor said 39c on first boot without OC. On second boot and Since then it just started giving me high 40s low 50s in system monitor in the bios. I cant increase the fan speed cause I broke the knock during install. I tuged too much on such a sensative part! What do I do to get the fan working on high since the knob is broken off

Dude, you already broke the damn thing? I'd just get a new fan - something high CFM and low dBA like a Panaflo, SilenX, or AC. You can try to control fan speed with Speed Fan if your BIOS supports it, and you have the fan hooked to a mobo header - i believe these are the requirements but I haven't really messed with the little app.

its connected to a y molex type cable which is connected to the power supply 4 pin power cable. I have to connect to mobo to get the proper power?

Not the proper power - whereever you connect it it will get ample power. A fan draws very little. To get control of it you need to hook it to the mobo, but you will need a molex coversion cable. But, I would just get a new more efficient and quieter fan than the stock one. Get a SilenX

fan speed on 100% on all fans. temps still awful. The wires coming out of the r120 are warm. Shouldnt ti be cool? WTF is this piece of shit? Its bad enough i paid double retail and now this shyt dont even work well. i got better temps on freakin air. This sux! I cant even return it cause the bastards are well bastards
