i ahve them hocked up to my mobo conectors. they tend to darken when my hdds activate, but right now im ideling(running f@h at 50%[on groop 33 ofcorse :p]) and both of them are noticably strobing(getting a little bit brighter then dimmer) at an even intervels(about 2 cycles per second). and im wondering, WTFH is up??? is my psu crapping out on me or somthing? im running an allied 400 watt psu and a FIC AN19E kt400 mobo
 
Yep, one of my five blue ones (one on my window) kept strobing until it finally died (LEDs). I swapped it with the one in my HDD cage cause a window with no blue LED fan didn't look good at all. I know that Cooler Master has a nice warranty, but I've been to lazy to care or email. Drop them a line and see what they say.
 
To say if your PSU is dying, simpla hook up a multimeter to the LED fan's power supply. If the voltage changes, you have a bad mobo (if it's connected to that), or a bad PSU.
 
I have all Cooler Master LED fans in my comp (5 or so), and notice they get brighter as I use a fan controller to make them spin faster. The more power I give them, the brighter they go.

But they don't strobe at all.
Maybe your mobo is trying to control/adjust the speed often?

I tried to reply to this post 10 times yesterday to no avail. I had the same problem you are having when I had them running on the mobo headers. If you turn the fan control option off in your BIOS they should run normally without strobing. If you want to slow them down you have to use a fan controller. They will dim, but they won't strobe. As least mine don't with the Enermax fan controller. The mobo must be pulsing the current to them to control the speed, and it "strobes" the LEDs. Quite annoying isn't it?
