Recently bought a Haf932 case and like theoverall look but i think it needs some changes, so this will be my 2nd mod job. Im building a new pc bit by bit...haven't decided on the mobo yet....either the EVGA x58 LE or the EVGA x58 3sli.

Painted the insides black and now need to mod the side panel window. Anyone got any idea's on how to do the window?...a bolt on style mod kit? Im going to mod the back panel and use that as the window side because it matches and it looks like it could be easier to do.

looks damn nice. why not just use the original side panel and cut out a larger window?

Was going to try that Rogue..but the way the panel is stamped it would look better to have the window on the raised part..if you know what I mean.

Granted it's not technically a "mod" but preventative maintenance: Removing the front grill I found the injection moulding at the base of 2 of the 4 posts to be (ahem) "less than stellar" and I plan on reinforcing them just at the bottom where they are molded into the front grill. Being a "dust-is-bad" freak, I plan to get some kind of filtering material in there, thus the grill will wind up being removed probably once a month. I'm thinking of getting a roll of 1/4" thick activated charcoal pre-filter material (I think the roll is 12" wide) from Grainger's and trying it. I'm not positive about that stuff yet. But Honeywell air purifiers wraps their older HEPA main filters in the stuff - it's advertised to remove tiny particulate matter (don't know how many micron's it filters down to though)

I love the case. I have 1 myself. Got it like a wk after it came out. Im in the process of painting the inside black. Haven't decided to go flat black or a shinny black. I like how yours turned out. How did u paint it? What paint did u go w/? Mines all preped and just waitin 2 paint.

i can upload some pictures of how i modded my HAF 932 when i get home. I had to cut out both the big fan grill and the small window on the sidepanel to be able to do this mod. Allthought! it was worth it.

I made a *800D look of it* with the new sidepanel. At school now, so will post pics later :p

Here you go!

As for modding suggestions, I think another "security glass" window vertically above the luvers would look good, though it would take a little work to emboss the metal to mount it like the other one. The window can be bought at CoolerMaster for $7.
