CoolerMaster HAF 932 Question

Hey guys, I recently got this case and abosultly love it...however, I am toying with the idea of replacing the side fan with 4x120mm fans, would this increase the air flow at all? Or do 4x120mm = a 230mm fan?

It would probably be best to keep the 230mm fan. It'll be a lot quieter too.

So, there wouldn't really be any airflow increase if I swapped it out? -.^

There probably would be an increase in airflow. However, I wouldn't say it's worth it. First of all, the Ultra Kaze fans are actually pretty mediocre. SPCR did some testing on them and found that they pushed much less air than they were actually rated for, and were very noisy as well. Plus, the actual amount of benefit that you'll get from putting in higher-airflow fans is debatable. You'll probably end up with slightly improved temps, but I doubt it would be necessary for you considering the HAF will already produce very good temperatures with the stock fans.

It's really up to you though. If you can put up with the noise from those fans and you just want to maximize your airflow, then I guess you should go for it. I personally wouldn't be able to put up with the noise though.

Yeah, I'm just trying to get my 8800 Ultra temps down...it's idleing at about 65c atm, but at full load it can reach 105c...and it begins to down throttle and I lose fps. Know of any good after market heat sinks for Ultra?

HR-03, Arctic Cooling Accelero Extreme. Your card should not be running at those temperatures even with stock cooling though. I would RMA the card if I were you.

Yeah, I have been considering doing that, even when I move my mouse around the OS, it makes a loud buzzing sound, and if I go to youtube, it gets even worse due to the pics\movies.
