I just wanted to remind everyone that voting for the Coolermaster case mod contest is now active. Just head over here to see the best entry ( :) mine, #35 ). Then just sign up for an account and vote!

Here's what my case looks like:

And the company/schmucks who make this pile of crap on top a regular cube case, well they're from portland too.........i shouldn't knock on them......but...............it aint a mod! it's a piece of metal on top a regular case! At least make it integrated in some way. This guy shouldn't even enter it into the contest cuz he didn't even do anything to it. He just bought it that way.

My vote goes to this guy........very nice job even though it isn't finished. It's clean and the different materials he uses are blended together quite well.

How noisy would THAT be? :)

How stupid is it considering that case temps can only get as cool as the room it is in, unless you are ducting air from an outside source.

I'd bet that 1/4 of those fans could more than bring it to room temp.

Most of them suck ass, wish I couldve entered the new case Im working on. =(.

wow that's really sad. I just browsed the whole thread and i have to say that 75% of the "mods" in there have no idea what a mod is. more of like.. how much coolermaster crap can I buy and shove in my system and call it a "mod".

jedi, your case looks cool.. i like the case paint and clean look.. that's a water tube in the front?

well then you haven't been browsing the internet long enough now have you? Someone did one over a year ago.

Anyone got some oldschool mod pics from previous galleries posted here at [H]? I've been out of it for a while but I remember seeing some super clean mods that really impressed me around three or so years ago... Nowdays so many of the jobs are just too overdone imo, they might showcase good skills but they're not something I'd want in my room.

Man I remember this one Lian Li mod, back when Lian Lis had barely started selling... He had it anodized a combination of yellow/black (black interior, yellow exterior) and put a plexi side pannel on it. The thing was it was so shiny and virtually not one cable in sight, quite impressive at the time when you didn't have SATA and whatnot (hiding cables was harder).

Would love to see that again... :p [insert nostalgic sigh here] ;)

Edit: Was browsing the current gallery, there's some recent stuff in there that's nice for sure... Mashie has some interesting mods and that LianLi V w/the window on the door looks nice (despite the mess inside)... But man, nothing like the cable job I mentioned above.

That thing was so impressive people were asking him how he routed it all for weeks on a thread... Having the whole side panel made of plexi and not seeing a single wire for more than a cm just looked sweet on that case. Less paintjobs these days too... Guess Al cases and more custom cases lead to that tho, inevitable.

Thanks.

Yup, it's a custom designed water tube with air bubbles. The tube lights up green when you turn the air on, and the flow rate of the bubbles is controlled via a rheostat on the front of the case.

I've kinda given up on the contest though. Me (and quite a few of the better mods) have single-digit votes while completely stock cases have 70+ votes.

yeah i noticed that... definatly a case of spammin the forum.. cuz all 3 of the top cases suck
