Coolermaster 500 case heatsinks

i personally think cases where the psu is parallel with the mobo is a POS....... but thats just me

personally, i would find a way to mod it so the psu isn't in that spot anymore - maybe find a way to mount it in free 5 1/4in bays if you have any........ or even on top the case with the wires running through the PSU hole in the case

Not only would/will that PSU be emitting heat, if it has two fans, the "bottom" fan would be intaking air right across from the HSF which is trying to intake air also.....creating a vacuum type effect, killing the effectiveness of your CPU's cooler. I know that the PSU is ALWAYS right by the CPU but when it's above it isn't so bad.....heat rises. Putting the power supply beside the CPU has always been a bad idea, going back a number of years.

I'm not quite sure what CM was thinking putting a POS like that out on the market but whatever, it's their money.

I took off the bottom fan on my psu and covered up the hole and added vents on the side to take in air from elsewhere. Its still working great and stable at 2.2 ghz now so I am happy. This Heatsink is not bad at all and with the TMD fan it really shines.

never mind the heat issue.......I side mounted PSU is enough for me to cover up a whole sidepanel window.....not just a fan.

Who the hell wants to be staring at their ugly-ass PSU everytime they turn their head.

I dont use a window. I rather see the sweet paint job. I have made clear cases and put windows on countless cases and I have gotten over it. My setup just look straight up sweet

is that thing a micro tower or something?

my dad's dell has a better case design than that (only one sidepanel comes off)

And I've also seen a lot of OEM systems (Dell and others, ATX and not) with far worse designs and ideas.....what's your point??? I might not be a fan of the layout but it doesn't make CM stupid by any means. I've got a few things to say to/about Dell but that would just be mean. ;) :D

I will post pictures in order to show you why I love this case later today
