Cooler recommendations for a low profile case

I have a Lian-li V600 case. For those that don't know the case, the PSU sits on top of the CPU, so the clearance from board to PSU is only 85mm. Also the width can only be 95mm within 1" over the motherboard, otherwise it won't clear the ram and heatsinks. After 1", it can then get wider than 95mm, but 85mm is the highest it can get.

Lot's of people have modded this case moving the PSU to the front, but I'd rather not do that. Can someone suggest a heatsink/fan combo that works for this setup? I don't need the absolute best cooler in terms of temperature as I don't necessarily plan to overclock the hell out of it, but I'd like for it to be quiet. So why do I need to do this? http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1613099

Thanks for any suggestions.

Apologize for the poor photo and ignore all the ugly wiring, haven't had time to clean them up yet. You can see the XFX PSU which sits right over the CPU and stock fan. there's 85mm clearance from mobo to psu.

ok let me net this out. I'm looking for a 2U sized cooling solution and preferably doesn't require accessing the back of the mobo. Thanks!

I know it's a small case, but you need to work on your cable management, and airflow might improve. I can barely see your motherboard between all of those cables.

Yes..I know :) it was only temporary. The case is still sitting sideways on the floor without the PSU attached right now.

Scythe has a few, check out frostytech.com for some reviews

I've been doing a bunch of reading and it looks like I have several choices, such as:

and several Zalmans.

But I may just end up doing the common mod on the V600 and move the PSU where the HD bay is. That'll give me plenty of clearance for almost any cooler I want.

AXP is a good cooler, Also Thermal paste replacment will help with the stock cooler.

I've already swapped out the thermal paste on the stock cooler. AXP is nice, but pricey. For the money, I'm thinking moving PSU and putting in a bigger monster would be better bang for the buck.

I'm not overclocking yet, want to get the baseline working first. I can't fit a H50 without moving the PSU as there's nowhere to mount the radiator/fan. I think I'll move the PSU and install an H60.

ok...time to update this thread. I decided to go with the Corsair H60 and move the power supply instead of going with a low profile heatsink/fan.

I haven't done any extensive testing, but here's what I have so far.
Using Real Temp 3.6:
Mins - 32,31,28,30
Max - 51,52,49,51

The Max was while running W95 for 10 mins. Will run it longer later.

Also here's an updated pic. Tried to clean up the wires a bit. Can't do much about the bunch at the bottom. Not bad compared to the original pic!

You may not be able to notice due to angle, but my fan and radiator mount is really ghetto :) Since I had to re-use the existing hole meant for a PSU, there weren't really holes for the fan. So I was able to use 1 screw size hole. Then for the other locations, I stuck a nail through a smaller hole...so I have 3 nails hanging out the back :D. Also, the PSU wire has to go somewhere. Goes out right above the fans. Unfortunately the way it is now, I think alot of dust will get in. Will need to figure out how to fix this.
