Cooler Master Stacker 830 Question

My brother just bought the stacker

. The power LED header had to be "modded" for it to work because the motherboard only accepts the (+,-) next to each other without a space. We did that and the LED works when the computer is off but when you press the power button it goes off. Is this how the 830 is supposed to be?

Do you mean if you press the power button while the computer is still on the light turns off but the computer is on? One light quick press? I have a stacker 830 sitting right next to me.

The power button doesn't have any color. It just blinks blue when you turn on your system. The hard drive status light blinks blue when your hard drive is doing something though.

Oh, when you press and hold the power button for about 6 seconds your computer should just shut off.

I meant does the power button stay lit while the computer is running or is it just supposed to blink when you press it to turn on the comp? My brothers blinks blue when he turns it on but it doesn't stay illuminated. Is that how its supposed to be?
 
Yes. It is supposed to blink blue because all of the background LED's are being lit at once when the computer is turned on, so the light floods through the power button, and after that all of them should turn off leaving only the HD light blinking. The power button should not be lit when the computer is on.

Hmm, I was rechecking all the headers and I switched the positive and negatives and voila the power light stays on. Even the HDD activity LED wasn't working. The eVGA manual for the 680i had ALL the polarities wrong. Piece of junk.
