I have a CMStacker 830, but I was wondering if anyone has done any mods to theirs?

Mine is pretty much stock, with the addition of fans and lights and that kinda fun stuff.

Anyone try painting it? Seen any mods on other sites? Post here please! :)
 
Sorry for OT but can I ask you if you had any problems getting graphics cards to sit correctly? Any negative comments really. I've seen quite a bit of buyer's remorse out there considering the reviews.

Some batches of the original Stacker had issues with some video cards (nothing that couldn't be fixed with a little filing). I haven't heard anything on the 830.
 
I have this case and I never run into problesm with add-on cards and VGA cards (x1900xtx) the only thing that's driving me nuts is that since I transfered my asus mobo (a8n-sli premium) on-board soun stop working, I even got a new asus a8n-sli premium again as a replacement, same result...I end up buying soundcard, also the led lights is driving me nuts...HDD indicators and Power led..
 
no problems fitting cards in mine, plenty of room. :D

but the power/HDD lights are retarded bright, im thinking of changing the LED to a different color, hopefully a bit dimmer too. On this case it'd be pretty easy to change that around methinks.
 
seriously it's been a hit and miss for me on the power leds, before I had problem with my power led not lighting up and then I solved it but my on-board sound stop working for no apparent reason 3 times I changed the board and same result I end up buying a soundblaster audigy 4 it worked fine, but my leds for HDD/reset is not working now , can you post pic of how you plug it in, we have different board and all..thanks... :confused: :confused:

I'm not familiar with this case or how the mobo mounts, but have you checked 100% that any standoffs, etc. for the mobo aren't causing a short in the board? If it uses the brass standoffsm even one of them mounted where a hole isn't located on the board can cause the board to partially short out. Just something to check real quick. :)
 
is there a way to plug my front panel audio on my stacker to my audigy4 sound card?or would it require a different sound card?I just want my front panel to work the front panel looks awesome..its because my on-board sound stopped working...thanks...
 
I'd be willing to bet it can be done. You might have to look up the pinout of the connector on the Audigy to see what pin should go where.

i'd be interested to try this out myself, enough reaching behind the case for the headphone jack! if you do get this going, illustrate how you did it for me please :D

As far as connecting to the front panel connectors there are a few ways to do it. First thing that is required is that the card has a J1 connector on it,
