Those crazy crustaceans over at MadShrimps have a review of the Cooler Master HAF XM mid-tower case posted today that is worth the click to check out.

Case designs have to be constantly adapted to suit the needs of its end users. Easiest solution is to opt straight for a big tower case. Having more than adequate space, ready to being stuffed with the biggest and baddest hardware available. However the size of these cases can be way out of proportion to fit under your desk. A pain in the butt to transport as they mostly weigh a ton or they are just too expensive. With the mid tower HAF series Cooler Master has addressed most of the aforementioned statements. Time to explore what the new HAF XM has to offer.

Looks like CM has a winner on their hands. Some nice, well thought out features, too.

I like this case too, I wish there was a all metal version of a HAF, with premium filters, that would kick ass.

You know I kinda like the look of this case a little more so than the other HAF cases, I can't explain it. It's "Perportioned" better I guess

I like the huge CPU clearance (196mm!), 8 expansion slots, splitting the removable 3.5" bays so you can get more direct airflow if you don't have a ton of drives, and the EATX capability.

My cons are the styling (still that overly Tonka-toy plasticky HAF-look) and the bottom of the case is a big fail. The PSU filter is an inside mesh screen that requires removing the PSU to clean it - and there isn't an additional bottom intake fan.

I've noticed (happily!) that almost every new ATX or bigger case has had at least one (or two) 120/140mm fan mount on the bottom next to the PSU. Not this one - if they did that and added a full-length removable external filter on the bottom it would be killer.

I know the styling is purely subjective and HAF-Series cases are quite popular for those looking for that sci-fi military blocky look.
