Cooler Master Cosmos S - Cosmo Interchangeable Side Panels?

Hey Hardforum'rs,

I was curious if anyone knows if you can interchange side panels for Cooler Master's Cosmos S and Cosmos?

Alright.

I want to confirm as I'm not talking about swapping the clear window/Acrylic panels sold separately but the retail panels that each case comes with?

Nah, your not going to find it with fan unless someone from the forum sells it to you that way. Create a WTB thread and I'm sure there is some one who switched to a side window for their Cosmos S and has the side panel and fan sitting in their closet. You can also call Cooler Master and they can will ship out both to you. Be sure to ask for the fan grill to cover the side fan. It keeps the fan from breaking and they should give it to you for free.
 
Yep, but trust me, I had no intention of buying the black label. I'm not a fan of the PSU or Cooler that it came with.

But I think $350 for a black paintjob is ridiculous.

Update: So I spoke with someone from CM, and they informed me they do sell the fan panel separately, it's just not in-stock. But I wish CM would have a free shipping option...as shipping for these panels will probably be more than the actual price for the panels :(

When the Black Cosmos was released back in July, it was only $259, then CM adjusted the price because the real MSRP was $349 which equaled fail. They sold a ton of them at $259. CM should have a sale on Columbus Day, maybe free shipping or % off the price!

As for shipping, always call them because their online shipping quotes are incorrect, it will read your zip code as a rural area and charge the maximum. Call to get a shipping quote then "only pay using Paypal for security reasons." The CM store is not a very secure site and the reps let me know of it.

I just wish the case was a bit closer to the $100 mark :(
 
a shady thing you could try is buy one from frys, swap the panels, and then return it. but this requires finding a fry's that carry's it.
 
By the way, how long does it take to have an admin confirm your registration for the forums?

I see that you, World, snagged a Sniper recently, how do you like it?

Also, I spoke with a CSR from CM about the shipping issue, and he told me whatever is quoted on the site, is in fact the price for shipping.
 
It was some time ago, but it shouldn't take more than a day. Here's the direct number of the rep I'm in contact with at Cooler Master 909-673-9880 at extension 108. His user name on the forum is kvoong85. He told me about the shipping issue and also knows about the all black Cosmos cases.

As for the case, it's awesome!!! No powercoating for me!!!!
