Is anyone else using the HD cooler / fan controller?

If so are you having issues with the software it came with? I've got mine set for COM 3 but whenever I turn the computer on it's set at COM 1. Then when I scan for it it'll either go to COM 3 like it's supposed to or tell me there is no CoolDrive6 installed in my machine.

Is there an update for this program or somethign I'm not doing to get it to keep the settings. It's really starting to piss me off and I'll just uninstallt he program and leave it off my machine.
