I have read to use only destilled water but what are your views on the 50/50 mixture antifreeze that auto parts stores sell?

Or should I buy the expensive coolant from a computer supply house and if yes which one?
Thanks.

10% antifreeze is all you need. 50% would reduce your flow since it would be quite a bit thicker than water. So if you buy the premixed stuff (it's a ripoff, they're charging you for water), use 20% premixed and 80% water to get a final antifreeze concentration of 10%.

it would the gurus if you would post all of your puter specifics then they can help better than i ,as i'm a nooooooob too

but for what its worth i use pentosin available at your local vw audi delarship for about 20 bucks a gallon and will last you a very long time
about 10% mix i use less no mixed metals

The Koolance stuff may be a little bit more expensive initially, but by the time you add in all the anti-corrosion, anti-algea/bug stuff, and dye that you should add to you mix, it's just easier and simpler to buy the Koolance stuff IMHO.

It's got everything you need in it and it's a very nice shade of blue. I've been running it for awhile now with no problems.

So is Water Wetter and distilled water the only things needed?

Do we really need anti-corrosion, anti-algea/bug? So...running with just 100% distilled water is not safe because overtime it can corrode the pump/blocks?
