Hi, Im going to be refilling my w/c loop soon. I have been using swiftech hydrx, but I have read too much about it clogging up the loop after a while so im not going to use it again. The parts included in my loop are in my sig, do I need any corrosion protection? (afaik its all copper but Im not 100% sure) And If I need corrosion protection what is the best coolant to use, and do I need biocide also? And if not is antifreeze + distilled water + dye the best thing to use or do I need biocide also?

shouldnt clog if mixed properly

i noticed in the manual with my h20 220 compact it says to mix a bottle with 1/2 l of water

if found alot of other places it says to mix with 1 l instead...it seems like way to much for only a half litre

I strongly recommend you use only distilled water with some PT Nuke. From my experience color additives stain your tubing within a month. When I used hydrx for the first time I found some werid gunky stuff building up im my block. Anyways, straight distilled is my recommendation.

Highly recommend PG (Propylene Glycol) and Distilled water mixture.

Best mixture is 20% PG to 80% distilled water for corrosion protection and the PG really helps lubricate the pump.

Also, PG is very friendly to computer parts "if" a leak were ever to occur. All you would need to do is to rinse the computer parts in distilled water and air dry. Then put things back together and run. EG coolant would destroy your hardware.

Ok, so I need corrosion protection with my loop? And antifreeze will do the job? Will it also protect against biological growth or do I need pt nuke also?
