I recently picked one up and it seems to be doing a dandy job on my I7 920.
Anyone else use one here? Thoughts on the device?
 
I am running great at 3.8GHz

BCLK 190
CPU Voltage 1.35
DRAM Bus Voltage 1.66 (WARNING: over 1.65v can damage CPU)

CPU Temp 100% load on all cores (Prime95 test 2 max heat) 76c

im at a stable 3.8ghz on an i7 920 with the highest temp ive seen at 76 degrees. sorry, no screen shot.
 
i had a v8 for a bit until i replaced it with a beta cooler and i was actually pretty satisfied with the v8's ease of use as well as its cooling. I also like that they use good fans on these coolers so that they run cool and fast. :)
 
i had to do 1.38v on my 920 to get 4.0ghz stable. My temps are a bit warmer then those mentioned here. ive seen mid 80's.

(1.35v set in bios, cpu-z reads 1.384)

notsane, try using realtemp instead of the asus suite. Typically they monitor package sensors instead of the DTS's.
 
if anyone is looking for one, i have one--practically brand new. Used two weeks before watercooling.
 
Had mine for a month now, not overclocked but it's not gone past 45 so far.
 
I read somewhere the base of the V8 is flatter and thus better than the TRUE 120 Extreme, how correct is that? Did I make a mistake purchasing the TRUE 120?

I definitely wouldn't say you made a mistake in buying the TRUE, it's just that the base of the TRUE isn't so flat on some occasions. The reason some people lap their TRUE is to get the base more flat, which in turn, makes it the best air cooler available.
 
Aw man, now I gotta get into all this. Any guides to lapping the TRUE? Or do I just sand it down for 30 minutes? I don't want to touch the processor.
