I have aquired the job of converting and uploading hundreds of Audio CDs and I am trying to find the best way to undertake this tedious task.

I understand that EAC can operate on two seperate drives concurrently, but what I am looking for is an integrated product that can rip many CDs and normalize volume and tagging information.

Is there a product that can in one instance rip from more than one CD drive?

Thanks for any help or advice.
 
The only one that comes to mind is dbpoweramp. I'm sure there's other ones out there though.

I recall Patrick Norton's Rip Monster he showed off on an episode of Tekzilla. Had 6+ drives in it and at full tilt it was near constantly ejecting a drive.
 
I second DBPowerAmp.

I ripped several hundred with no problems. I had 3 drives going at the same time.

Only suggestion, rip to Flac, a lossless format, and then you can convert to any other format you like. This way, you have a library to work off, so if in the future you want a higher quality copy, you have it.

I am also using JRiver, which will rip to whatever format you like, and also convert to any format you like.
 
I used DBPowerAmp to convert my whole collection to FLAC. I have two USB DVD burners and I ran two instances of the software. It is the best solution I've used for this; it was well worth the cost.
 
I used CDex back in the day. It worked great.
Looks like it's still being worked on.
 
I'm redoing my collection atm. The workflow I have is Rip with EAC to FLAC, tag with MusicBrainz Picard. I didn't find a tool that I felt could adequately do both jobs at the same time.

Once I have the FLAC files situated, I mass convert FLAC to MP3 using LAME (V2 preset) and then I fix up the tags again with Picard (not all the FLAC tags translate over correctly).
 
iTunes will do that. It won't get album art automatically, but it will get grace note and rip automatically if you set it to.

iTunes is a little weird because on some computers it does in parallel but then another computer it will queue up sequentially.

But anyways that's what I'm in the process of doing right now. 6 optical drives hooked.

Edit: got it, if you have itunes do it automatic it's sequential. If you manually press import it does concurrent.
