Ok, well one day i noticed that somehow some of my mp3 were turnd into .m4a files(a.k.a. mpeg4). Ever since I noticed the first few, more and more have taken the switch.... I play all of my music in the newest version of Winamp(not exactly sure of versin number, not at home right now). I also use a 20 gig ipod that connects through winamp, not the greats program to run an i-pod with, but it gets the job done. But now my problem is that i can't get these random .m4a files to play on anything. And since I can't get them to play in any media program, i can't get them to my ipod. These are all legalally bought songs/cd's from napster or store bought. More of files that have transformed into .m4a files are songs that i got from cd's and then converted them into mp3 files with acoustica music converter.
My question is..... Is there any know program that will convert these .m4a files back to the original .mp3 files???? I've heard that Sony Acid can do it, but i'd prefer not spending 200 bucks a program i'll use for 40 songs....
