I know I can hook up a tape player to the mic or input of a computer and record with a program like Audacity. But I have to be there to stop, then save the file, and if the tape has two sides, I need to be there to turn it around.
Is there any way I can do this without having to babysit it? Like, some kind of device that will do both sides in one shot, then auto stop/save the file at the end?
Even better, is there any way to do bulk tapes?
I have a few hundred tapes I need to convert, I just don't want to be babysitting it the whole time.
Also, if I play it faster, record it faster, then slow it down, will I loose too much quality?
