I have an Abit IC7-G Max II mobo and the NB fan on it is probably the loudest piece in my case. When I enable Smart Fan using Abit's EQ utility the fan quiets down and only picks up RPMs when needed. Is there a way to control this without having to run Abit EQ utility? What are better and quieter NB cooling options?

I also have a couple other (2) case fans and I think it would be cool if I could flip a switch or turn a knob to "game mode" when I play games. Is such a thing possible? One of my case fans has an option to switch to low/medium/high settings. I'm thinking about getting another one because it can produce 79cfm @ 30dba on high, which is perfect for me.
