Hi, I'm building a new system with AMD 2500 and Asus A7N8X-E mobo and have hit a snag with the connections to the power switch and reset buttons etc. I have a cheiftec matrix series case and the wires are all very well marked.

My question is: How do you know which way to attach the front panel wiring to the motherboard? The mobo manual says the dark wires are positive leads and white wires are negative leads. There is also a little arrow pointing at one of the connections on each of the wire connectors plastic pieces. Can anyone help?

For me, the side with the arrow on it is the side facing up, so the connector goes in arrow side up. I forget whether it's positive or negative though, I just remember after having to connect them so many frigging times.

For the buttons it doesn't matter which way you hook them up but for the leds it does matter. Easist way is to just hook them up and if they don't light up then flip the connection around. It shouldn't hurt anything.
