Maybe this will too vague to be able to diagnose but here we go...

I just got a new HDTV to hook up to my HTPC. I had a GeForce 8400 GS in the machine previously as I needed something with an S-Video port to hook up to my old CRT TV. Now, with the LCD I grabbed a Radeon 5450, just to have something moderately current with an HDMI port.

I "driver-sweepered" my system and got the newest Catalyst drivers installed. It boots fine, things look mostly normal, but my desktop spills off the edge of the screen. "No problem", I think, "I'll adjust the overscan settings". No luck. Any change I make in the control center, any check box checked or slider moves makes "Vision engine control center lock up and crash".

Any ideas. Any troubleshooting tips. Any other info that would be helpful in diagnosis. Thanks for any help...
