Contig - Defrag individual files not working?

I've been using Contig for my defragging needs for a while...and while it's been great for folders or entire disk drives, I haven't been able to get the individual file defrag to work.
E.g. I select one of the Apple HD movie trailers to defrag, as these are easily 100-200MB in file size. Using Power Defragmenter GUI, I click Next through the appropriate screens.

"DONE!"

I call B.S. I check the file. Still in 83 fragments. Ok, maybe it was fluke. Again, I start up Power Defragmenter. Select the file and click Next. "DONE!" Again, nothing happened.
What gives? Is Contig just not made to work with individual files?

A 200MB file in 83 fragments?! How full is your hard drive?

Actually I made a mistake. The 83 fragmented file was the SC2 game play trailer (via BT), not a Apple movie trailer. But my complaint remains -- is there a bug in Contig that is preventing it from defragging individual files?

I'm using:
Contig 1.54.0.0
Power Defragmenter 2.0.110

My 500GB hard drive is fairly empty (about 400GB free space).
