Contemplating a pre-built... suggestions?

I'm looking at getting a new system soon and I'm really up in the air if I want to build one again. I just don't know if I have the patience for the wiring and stuff. So if I do decide to go that route, I figured it best to do some research on what company might be best to deal with within the U.S. and no real limit on cost.

Eh, all the usual suspects. Dell/Alienware, HP, Lenovo, etc. If you have a good local shop they probably offer systems built to spec.

FWIW, Costco often has good deals on systems, though their selection is limited.

(My only concern with HP is if, like they do for enterprise, they hide their drivers and docs behind a support wall. Probably want to check on that for any system you might buy.)

I was looking for more high end choices, but so far it seems like the couple I have looked at have horrendously poor reviews, like ibuypower, cyberpowerpc, origin, digital storm. And I would never attempt another Alienware. Had one of the worst experiences with them 10 yrs ago after dumping close to $5000 - $6000. Within 2 days I was sending it back in for overheating, came back a week later and out of the box the 2nd time it was still doing the same thing. Figured the issue out on my own that it was a decorative plate on the back restricting airflow from the cpu closed loop cooler. Then it started rebooting randomly playing CoD4. Ended up getting my money back and built my own and saved $2000+, which is what I'm still on 10 yrs later (with a few small upgrades over the yrs... like HDD's and video cards).

I actually got a powerspec X603 on sale at Microcenter last week. Ended up being about the same cost as it would have been to build a new rig. Just need to now sell my other system, was just too good of a deal to pass up and to get my first watercooling system ever.

Yea I had bought a Powerspec many years ago and a buddy still gets his from Micro Center. But I want more than they offer.

I'll probably end up trying to build it myself as putting everything together isn't much of an ordeal... what I AM concerned about though is any kind of overclocking which I am completely lost. Wish I knew someone local that could help, but I don't know a soul that's into computers or into even enough that they would know the first thing about overclocking.
