Constant drive activity

I recently built a new PC and setup a Raid 1. I have noticed that my hard drive activity light continually flashes. It flashes like this: blip.......blip.........blip blip.......blip, so it's not constant non stop activity, just quick little blips.

It's a brand new build rarely used but I went ahead and ran a virus scan and spyware scan and nothing was found. This is my first raid setup, so I don't know if this is normal nor not.

Computer specs:

AMD X2 4200+
ECS KN1 SLI Extreme mobo
2gig ram
2 Seagate 250's in raid 1
7800GT
Using onboard sound

Any suggestions?

That is normal for RAID1 arrays, as far as mine have gone. That's the synchronizing running in the background to keep the drives identical.
