Console Cable

I have a watchguard firebox x500 im trying to install pfsense onto.

I need a console cable to do this. The unit itself has a 9 pin male dsub connector.

Im looking at making a cable up for this as I have a bunch of connectors etc

Is it simply a null modem cable?

Null modem would be my guess. You can get one from Monoprice for around $1.50 if you don't have one.

Yes null modem.

I have a serial cable with a gender changer and null adapter. radio shack got me $27 on it like 12years ago
