If I have a consistent skipping (pauses) on a no. of brand new music Cd when playing on a CD ROM drive, how can you fix it?
I heard if the CD drive picks up the data stream and thinks it is music, it will create the popping sound. But this is NOT the same thing. It just pauses. (there is no scratches on any of those music CD)
When I change the setting of the sound icon at control panel to lower the quality and performance, the skipping is not as rapid as before, but still, there are skipping occurs.
I'm running XP on a P4 w/ windows media player. And there are even times I shut down the other software, the skipping continues.
