im a noob
building my first pc myself
i have a decent idea of what im doing, and i just happened to be in the market for a new computer so i decided to do it myself and noticed the conroe's coming out so i waited and i wanna order my stuff as soon as possible
im not a huge gamer and obviously, no overclocking since ive never built my own system, so thats not a big deal to me
so anyway, i was wondering if this cheapo motherboard would be a bad move or not

here's the rest of what im thinking about ordering if interested

hmm i like the ram, ditch the mobo get a gigabyte GA-965P-DS3 its about 150 and DO NOT ORDER YOUR CONROE FROM NEWEGG, their prices right now are just outrageous, look for it somwhere else

oh i know
im hoping it drops though cuz i've been planning on taking advantage of the no payments for 6months thing
otherwise i dont have the money right now for all of it up front

ill check out that motherboard

the msi neo doesnt support 1gb ddr2 800 sticks, so you have to get a different one.

i actually just noticed that too
thanks

that other board looks good though. its only an extra 50 bucks so i can deal with that haha

yeah, and the gigabyte board is ocing better than anyother board for e6400 and e6300. If youd like to order from the egg, not a bad idea with the 6 month payment, if the price lowers in 6 months do you pay the lower price or the price you first got it for?

Not that I know of I havent seen any changes on my newegg charge account when prices go down!

I'm getting that MSI mobo to install with my e6600 and I'll see how it goes. I have 4x512 DDR2 667 from my last system that I'll be using so hopefully I don't run into any ram problems. I'll let you guys know how the build goes.
