Conroe-L vs Pentium D

Single core Celeron D 430 @ 2.1 GHz (1066 fsb pin mod) vs Pentium D 805 @ 3.3 GHz (667 fsb pin mod). Which will be faster? Doesnt really need it to do anything fancy. Most it will be asked to do will be playing movies at 1080p. Basically if the Celeron D is alot faster than Im going with it. If the Pentium D is just a bit slower then I will go with the Pentium D since it is dual core.

is it possible to set a 1066fsb (by pinmod) on a conroe-L D420 (1.6) ?
i got one and i reaaly want to know hot to do it, if it´s possible.

i would say you werent see much differences in those speed, but i would go for dual core.

Why not go with a e2140 or e2160? They are both well worth the $20 or $30 extra over the celeron-l.

I agree, go for the e21xx series. It's only a few dollars more and faster than both the Celeron-L and D805
