2 weeks ago I built the following system:

Conroe E6700 (ES)
Asus P5W DH Deluxe (Quality Stuff)
2GB Corsair PC6400C3
XFX Geforce 7950GX2 XXX Edtion
Creative SB X-FI Fatality Edition
Dell 24" Wide Screen LCD

The tests results that I am going to post are from early testing only. Right after setting up the system, I have run the tests. This is from the old OS from my 2 AMD AM2 systems mentioned above. Just uninstalled the Nforce 590 SLI drivers and installed the Intel Chipset Drivers and installed the new Nvidia 91.33 Drivers for my display card.

I have already done a fresh install and am in the process of installing the programs that I will be running for my daily use and then I will Ghost my hard disk as a back up. Then I will run the tests again.
For now this is only a short teaser.

Conroe E6700 running at default clocks. The only thing that I set was the ram timmings. My Corsair PC6400C3 is acutually supposed to run at CL3,3,4,9. So I just used those timings as I know they will surely work easily at DDRII 667. :)

Is the temperature of the CPU the TCaseMax or Core #1?

Why is the TCM so high?

That is to say that max CPU temp for conroes is 85 degrees c.

Is set by the program and it can't be changed. As long as the CPu temp doesn't get higher than 55 to 60 degrees C at full load, you should be fine. I

so you think youd get higher clocks with overall better cooling
also why dont you run your ram higher, will it not let you

I don't want to add too much mem voltage. I prefer 1:1 memory ratio. It seems to perform pretty good already. I will run more tests in a couple of days. :D
