Well, my MB died in my Northwood setup a couple of days ago. Won't post at all. Bummer! The good news is now I'm in the market to upgrade. Good, except for the timing. I had planned on upgrading to Conroe later this year, once the initial Conroe launch "dust" had settled down a bit.
Regardless, once I get my hands on one, I plan on reinstalling my Swiftech setup.
So my question is: has anyone installed a Swiftech Apogee block on a Conroe, yet? I can't remember the exact answer from Swiftech (my email is kind of inaccesable at the moment), but they basically told me that they were still "looking" at compatibility. Since the Conroe is a 775 socket, I would think that the mounting HW for a 775 would work, but then there is die size, processor height, etc. to consider, also.
Perhaps a new block is needed?
So, has anyone put an Apogee (or other block) on a Conroe yet?
Jim
