Conroe cooler?

Anybody got some ideas where I do not have to take the motherboard out of the case?

Honestly....you'll probably want to take the mobo out unless you want just the stock whatever. The extra 20 minutes will be well worth it. I got the zalman 9500

I'd also recommend being willing to take mobo out to properly mount a better heatsink in there .. then clean your case out and what not whilst you gots it all aparted

Freezer pro is good , i have used about 6 of them , one amd one also , they are great and you cant go wrong with them.

Scythe Infinity is coming out around August 12, and from the pictures of the included parts on http://www.scythe-usa.com/product/cpu/024/scinf1000.html, it does not require you to take out the mobo to install a backplate or anything.

I don't know where it throttles, but if you figure that it's somewhere above 165F, and you allow 30F for a few browser windows and an ACAD redraw, 135 is the max you'd want to accept. But not that much of an issue with 65nm chips and some of the terrific coolers around now.

I bought the Big Typhoon, but I didn't quite realize how BIG it really is. Seems to test quite well.

It will be very interesting to see if it even fits in my case.

Might have to reconsider.
