conroe compatibility

the link does not workee but i would have to say definitely probably. some 945g and p boards work with c2d. other 945 versions do not. guys that need matx/c2d use these chipsets as there are no 965/975 matx yet.
 
Yeah, the Conroe is not supported on the D945GTP series boards from Intel. Only the D946, D975X, D965/963 series support them.

Asus has a version of their 945P board, the P5LD2-VM/C which was made to support Conroe. However, I'd be looking at dumping the 945 series as they can only support DDR-II 533/667. Inexpensive P965 boards can purchased for beans now-a-days.
 
that board will NOT support c2d. none of the boards in that series BOXD945Gt**** will support c2d. matx = micro atx.
 
damm man my friend already purchased it :( what recomended cpu can be used with this board?
