Conroe and shuttle? Will it work?

I currently have a P4 3.4ghz socket 775 chip. I would love to purchase a shuttle now but my o nly conern is that the new conroe chip will not be compatible with the latest and greatest shuttles. Will the 945 chip set be able to support the conroe chip? Any input would be appreciated.

Is the conroe of the same socket?

I think the answer is yes...so it would probably work with a bios update

lots of misinformation here, conroe will not run on the 945 chipset regardless of what kind of bios update is provided. It involves physical limitations of the 945 chipset...

well it was the only piece of information, so when you compare the ratio of wrong information to total information, you can see that ALL the information was wrong, and the way i see it, when all the information in a thread is wrong its LOTS of misinformation!
